關則輝先生擁有逾30年企業傳訊、行政管理及培訓經驗，曾出任多家企業的管理職位，包括國泰航空、新世界第一巴士、新創建集團及恒隆集團，並處理過多個燙手的危機。關先生為香港公共關係專業人員協會創會會員，現任香港理工大學實務教授 (企業傳訊)，並為特區政府民政及青年事務局轄下「社區投資共享基金」委員會主席。

Mr. CF Kwan has over 30 years of solid experience in corporate communications, management, and people development. He has served in major corporations including Cathy Pacific Airways, New World First Bus, NWS Holdings and Hang Lung Group. Mr. Kwan is a Founding Member of The Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals' Association (PRPA) and is currently a Professor of Practice (Corporate Communication) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Mr. Kwan is also Chairman of The Community Investment and Inclusion Fund Committee under the HKSAR Home and Youth Affairs Bureau.

About The Talk:
Lots of megatrends are redefining our world fundamentally, but at the same time, we are unified with one clear theme together: PURPOSE! From social entrepreneurship to business with purpose, to impact/ESG investing, etc, the new purpose sector created more opportunities for young people to participate and contribute to our society in a meaningful way. What and how? In this session, Francis will bring a new perspective, with solid showcases.

Speaker’s Bio:
Francis Ngai is the Founder of Social Ventures Hong Kong (SVhk, sv-hk.org). As an Impact Designer of cities of the future, Francis has devoted his career since 2007 to starting and incubating hundreds of social innovation projects. His portfolio of innovations includes Hong Kong’s first venture philanthropic fund, and social start-ups such as Green Monday, Light Be, Playtao Education, co-working factory HATCH, co-caring space COMM,ON, and more.

To empower the social purpose ecosystem with New Urban movements such as “Purpose Business and Start-Ups”, “Exponential Philanthropy” and “Impact Storytelling” and more, Francis co-founded SONOVA (sonova.com.hk) and COSMOS (cosmospartners.co) with co-partners from SVhk. SONOVA and COSMOS provide professional advisory on impact communications, ecosystem capacity building and collaboration support to corporates, foundations, SPOs and the public sector to work towards impact together. To nurture the next generation of changemakers, Francis has actively led impact talent programs to pioneer new models of purpose leadership, such as youth apprenticeship in Creative Beings @ Sham Shui Po, impact holidays in House of Social Innovators, and impactful internships in the Social Leaders Programme.

Francis is a frequent inspirational speaker on various local and international platforms. He believes that in this era of Impact Renaissance, we need to focus on changing the ways that change is made. Francis was recognized as an Honorary Fellow of the City University of Hong Kong and the Education University of Hong Kong. He was selected as one of Hong Kong’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons and a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.

As a vegetarian ultra-runner, Francis completed the 250-km Gobi March of the 4 Deserts race series and in 2013 became the first ever Hong Kong runner to finish the North Pole Marathon.

𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐢𝐨:
Mr. Fu Keung (Edward) Lau has over 20 years of experience in corporate management, investment banking, consulting and accounting. Edward is Chief Financial Officer of New World Development Co. Ltd. (HKSE:17) leading Group’s financial functions including Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Mergers & Acquisitions and Investor Relations. Before joining New World, Edward was the Chief Financial Officer of a Chinese property developer with focus on Greater Bay Area. In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Edward was awarded “Best CFO” in All-Asia Executive Team Leaders survey organized by Institutional Investor (II) for three consecutive years.

Edward has rich experience in innovative sustainable financing. In 2021, NWD became the first real estate developer globally to issue a USD Sustainability Linked Bonds. Recently, NWD became the first corporate in the world to issue a USD-denominated social and green dual tranche offering in the public bond markets.

Edward held various senior banking positions with global investment banks prior to his CFO career. He managed structured credit investments in the Global Credit Trading group of Deutsche Bank. Edward had originated and executed 170+ equity and fixed income deals, with his last role as the Head of Equity Capital Markets, Greater China at Barclays Capital.

Edward received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance (with Distinction) and Master of Accounting (with Distinction) from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2001 and 2002 respectively. He is a U.S. (Delaware) Certified Public Accountant Certificate holder. Edward is a current member of the inaugural Advisory Committee of the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC) by Financial Secretary of HKSAR. He served as a member of the Greater Bay Area Working Group under the Mainland Opportunities Committee of Financial Services Development Council (FSDC), HKSAR Government.
